Minified CSS
What is this tool?
Minifying CSS strips out everything a browser doesn't need to parse the stylesheet correctly — comments, indentation, and the whitespace around braces, colons and semicolons — without changing what any rule does. On a large stylesheet that routinely cuts file size by a third or more, which means less to download before the page can be styled.
This tool minifies with a lightweight set of pattern replacements rather than a full CSS parser, so it's fast and has no dependencies, but it works on the text as written — a value like content: "a { b" inside quotes is a rare edge case worth a quick visual check after minifying.

Frequently asked questions
Is this CSS minifier free?
Yes, with no limit on file size or usage.
Is my CSS uploaded anywhere?
No. Minification runs entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
Does minifying change how my CSS behaves?
No — it only removes comments and formatting whitespace. The selectors, properties and values are untouched, so the rendered result is identical.
How much smaller will my file get?
It depends on how much whitespace and how many comments the original has — anywhere from a few percent to well over 50% for heavily-commented, indented stylesheets.
Is there a file size limit?
No limit is enforced by the tool; very large stylesheets are only bound by your browser's available memory.
